Labels help you avoid tainted foods

If you're concerned about reports of tainted produce or meat, a new law goes into effect nationally this week that may help.

There is now something called "Country Of Origin Labeling" (COOL) that helps consumers tell where their foods come from.

Health officials hope it will lead to speedier identification of tainted produce.

The law passed in 2002, but its implementation has been delayed until this week.
