Women who frequently diet are likely to gain more weight than they should while pregnant, according to a new study. The average weight gain is between 28 to 40 pounds, but in a study of 1,200 women, frequent dieters who were either normal weight, overweight or obese gained more weight than they should when pregnant.
Researchers suggest one reason may be that these women viewed pregnancy as a reason to eat as much they wanted.
