Poll: Majority oppose gay marriage ban

The poll by the Public Policy Institute shows 44 percent now in favor of Prop 8 and 52 percent opposed. That's a smaller gap since the last poll taken in August.

A yes vote would ban same-sex marriage.

The president of the Public Policy Institute tells the L.A. Times he expects the final vote will be close.
