Beverly Hilton measure ahead by 16 votes

A proposal to build a hotel and two condo buildings on the Beverly Hilton property is pulling ahead, based on the latest vote count from last week's election.The latest tally from Measure H has the initiative ahead by sixteen votes.

Hundreds of thousands of absentee and provisional ballots still have to be counted, so the results could change.

Meantime, two other Los Angeles area measures are still too close to call.

Measure R, a county-wide half-cent sales tax increase to fund Metro transportation projects, is winning, while Proposition A, a proposed parcel tax for gang prevention and intervention programs, is losing.
