Irvine hospital may downsize after vote

IRVINE, Calif. According to the L.A. Times, the hospital plans to cut its 25 pediatric beds next year and transfer in-patient services to the Children's Hospital of Orange County.

The UC Board of Regents still has to vote on the plan. If approved, the pediatric beds would be converted to adult beds to help with the growing demand for those services.
