Officials close Sayre Fire evacuation centers

SYLMAR, Calif. As mandatory evacuation orders were lifted for most parts of the San Fernando Valley three of the four evacuation centers also shut down.

San Fernando Senior High School, Chatsworth High School and Kennedy High School all stopped serving evacuees at 3 p.m. Sunday. Sylmar High School remains opened until at least Monday morning.

Most of the people expected at Sylmar High were those displaced when the fire destroyed more than 450 trailers at Oakridge Mobile Home Park in Sylmar.

Los Angeles Police Deputy Chief Michel Moore said efforts were still underway to identify all of the people displaced by the fire. Moore said just 134 people living in the park have been located by city officials. However, no bodies have been found in the wreckage of the park, and there were no immediate reports of missing persons.
