Relief in sight for L.A. homeowners

LOS ANGELES Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa joined IndyMac Federal Bank and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Thursday in announcing the program, including foreclosure clinics and counseling at six work source centers in L.A.

IndyMac Federal will also work with the FDIC to provide homeowners with information on modifying bank loans and saving their homes.

IndyMac's first home preservation day for customers will be held Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Marvin Braude Constituent Services Center at the Van Nuys City Hall.
