LOS ANGELES --A Los Angeles City Council committee has approved a gun control package to crack down on gang and gun-related violence. The package contains seven proposed laws, including one that would make it easier for landlords to evict tenants who possess illegal firearms.
If passed, the package would also require stricter background checks for ammunition-dealers and require them to be licensed.
The City Council still needs to approve the package.
