Calif. Democrats' plan to fix budget

SACRAMENTO The Democrats' proposal consists of $9 billion in revenues and $8 billion in cuts.

State Republicans released their plan on Monday. Republicans said their proposal would free up more than $22 billion in state spending, but Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Democratic leaders say the Republican plan fails to address the state's impending cash shortage.
