Flight diverted due to unruly passenger

BURBANK, Calif. The passenger says he was mistreated after he became sick from choking on his food, but the crew says he was creating a safety problem.

"Some of his activities included running up and down the aisles, opening and closing the overhead bins, shouting at the flight attendants, making a statement that he had shot people in Lebanon," said one official.

The man, identified as Shalom Yarimo, was arrested for interfering with a flight crew, and he is expected in a federal courtroom on Wednesday.
