Cigna sued after Northridge teen death

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. Nataline Sarkisyan, 17, died a year ago, just hours after protests prompted Cigna to reverse its denial.

Her parents are suing for alleged breach of insurance contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other things.

They are asking for unspecified damages and an injunction to prevent similar medical care denials in the future.

Cigna has made no comment on the lawsuit.
