LOS ANGELES --Every flu season has a surprise, and this year it turns out the main flu bug circulating is resistant to the anti-viral drug Tamiflu. The alert is an early heads up for doctors who may need to find other ways to treat the flu. Tamiflu is given within two days of the onset of symptoms.
Center for Disease Control (CDC) officials are taking this finding seriously, but say Tamiflu isn't widely used, and the best defense is to get a vaccination.
