One of the first sign something might be wrong is a condition called "shy eating."Clinical psychologists say some people won't eat in public because they're embarrassed about what people might think of their food choices. Shy eating could be the first sign of an eating disorder.
Experts say if parents recognize this symptom in children, they shouldn't start a power struggle. Instead, invite your teen to talk about it and look into getting professional advice.
