San Diego man convicted of pimp murder

SAN DIEGO Terrence Stamps was found guilty Friday of shooting Jamal Gordon-Hill on Jan. 3 near a San Diego bus stop. He was also convicted of personal discharge of a firearm.

Prosecutors argued that Stamps - who also went by the name Mackvicious - was upset that another man was trying to push one of his prostitutes off the block. Stamps' attorney says prosecutors failed to prove his client fired the gun.

Gordon-Hill was shot four times and died at the scene.

The 25-year-old Stamps faces a maximum sentence of life in prison when he sentenced Jan. 30 in Superior Court.
