Robbers tie up, slap jewelry store owner

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. The suspects hit Pacific Park Jewelers at 27271 La Paz Road in Laguna Niguel on Saturday as the owner was closing up.

The men gagged the man, tied him to a chair and slapped him.

They fled with a substantial amount of jewels and cash from the safe.

The jewelry store owner was not seriously hurt.

The robbers were described as Latinos in their early 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with short hair in a buzz-cut. One wore a red jacket and the other a white jacket. No vehicle was seen.
