Salmonella outbreak sickens 51 in Calif.

Health officials are trying to find the source of a salmonella outbreak that has sickened more than 400 people in 42 states.The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has yet to name all the states, but California officials are reporting at least 51 salmonella cases since last week.

Officials warn you to be careful handling raw meat and to wash your hands frequently.

Symptoms from the illness usually last between four and seven days.
