Teen killed trying to stop carjacking

PACOIMA, Calif. Police said 18-year-old Javier Villareal saw a driver being carjacked along the 11000 block of El Dorado Avenue and tried to help.

Carjackers shot the teen several times, and he was declared dead at the scene. The suspects fled the scene after the shooting.

The carjacking victim was not hurt.

Police are looking for three men, believed to be gang members.
