Get your fill at the Top 7 delis in L.A.

LOS ANGELES Citysearch says Junior's in Westwood is a Citysearch pick because it has a great location.

"We're literally right across the street from the Westside Pavilion," says Mar Yvette, Citysearch senior editor. "Have your breakfast, lunch, or dinner, [then] go catch a movie at the Landmark. It's a great spot, and the food is phenomenal."

Yvette says since Junior's has its own bakery on-site, they make their own challah. Other specialties include the cabbage soup, blintzes and pickles.

For unique deli items you should head to Nate 'n Al in Beverly Hills, where you'll find wild nova lox.

"You're not going to find that anywhere else," says Yvette. [It's] wild caught. Most of the fishes now-a-days are farm raised. And more people are concerned about their health, so you can still eat affordably but have high quality food. They've got the fabulous potato pancakes."

Another popular dish at Nate 'n Al is the corned beef sandwich.

Art's is a comfy deli in Studio City.

"Very unpretentious. Come in in your shorts and tank-top, or however you want. Have a good meal. You feel like you're at home, even if it's your first time here," says Yvette. "Their tag line is, 'Where every sandwich is a work of art.' "

Art's has everything from the classic pastrami and Reuben to bagels and lox and matzo ball soup.

Canter's makes the Citysearch cut.

"Right on Fairfax, this place is a classic. You think of deli in L.A., you think Canter's," says Yvette. "And what makes it different from the rest you ask? It's open 24 hours."

Rounding out the Citysearch Top 7 Delis are: Brent's in Northridge, Factors Famous Deli, and Langer's Delicatessen.

In Orange County, you should check out Katella Deli in Los Alamitos. In the Inland Empire, Ray's Downtown Deli in San Bernardino is a good choice. In Ventura County, deli-goers should visit Roxy's Famous Deli in Thousand Oaks.
