VENTURA COUNTY --Saturday was the last day of business for four Ventura County Applebee's restaurants. According to the Ventura County Star, restaurants in Camarillo, Ventura, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks have all shut down.An Applebee's spokesperson says the franchise owner of the store made the decision after filing for bankruptcy last month. The owner, Breckenridge Group, is also shutting three restaurants Chatsworth, Palmdale and Santa Clarita.
Applebee's said the closings are an isolated incident, and hopes a new franchisee will come in and re-open the restaurants.
