- Question of the Day: What will you do with your day off on Martin Luther King Jr. Day?
The parade showcased floats, bands, drill teams and dance groups, all to honor the legacy of /*Martin Luther King, Jr.*/, born Jan. 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia.
His incomparable speeches live on to this very day, most notably his /*March on Washington*/ address in 1963 and his final speech in Memphis.
The nation pauses on Monday to honor King and his commitment to civil rights.
ABC7's Phillip Palmer, Kathy Vara, Rob Fukuzaki, David Ono and Ellen Leyva were at the parade, with Michelle Tuzee and Leslie Sykes providing LIVE coverage.
