Mormon Church: $190K spent for Prop 8

Officials from the Mormon Church are revealing they spent $190,000 to support Proposition 8.The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints originally claimed it spent just $2,100 to support the ban on gay marriage, which sparked several protests after Prop 8 passed.

Among the expenses listed in the report include nearly $97,000 to pay employees working for the ban.

The church is now being investigated by the state's fair political practices commission.
