Father finds son, woman dead in workplace

STANTON, Calif. Police said someone killed Scott and Palmer at their workplace in the sales office of /*Golden Sun Homes*/ on /*Beach Boulevard*/.

Scott's father owns the business, which sells and manufactures mobile homes. He said that they had not received any threats and didn't have any problems with disgruntled customers that he was aware of.

"My brother showed up to work this morning ... When he got in the office, he found both of them dead," said Phil Scott, the victim's uncle. "Stabbed to death is what I heard ... in the office with blood all over."

Phil Scott says he talked with Beth Palmer at 10 a.m. on Monday, and everything seemed fine. Authorities received the emergency call about 50 minutes later.

Investigators are not confirming if the victims were stabbed or shot to death. The only thing they are confirming is that there was no sign of a struggle.

Investigators have not said how the pair was killed, but they do say Palmer's car is missing. It is a four-door white Lexus with license plate number 5FYP194.

The husband of the female victim broke down as he received word that his wife had been found dead inside the sales office where she worked as a secretary. Authorities say that next to her -- behind her desk -- was the body of salesman Matt Scott.

Anyone with information is urged to call (866) TIP-OCSD.
