White SUV sought in injury hit-and-run

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. The victim was hit while standing near a disabled vehicle on Hospital Road, just south of Placentia Avenue.

The vehicle was described as either a white 1996 to 2001 Ford Explorer SUV or a white 1997 Mercury Mountaineer SUV.

Police say the vehicle may have sustained damage to its right front corner from the impact.
