Cops injured in Crenshaw family dispute

CRENSHAW DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES Officers from the LAPD's Southwest Division were called to 5411 Carlin St. to investigate a suspect with a baseball bat involved in a family dispute.

Officers attempted to enter a yard the suspect had entered, but couldn't get past a fence that was blocked by family members of the suspect.

A fight between family members and the two officers ensued, and police backup was requested, including presence of a supervisor.

Multiple family members were reportedly fighting with officers at the scene, including the original suspect. Multiple units were called to the scene.

A total of five people have reportedly been injured, including two police officers. Four ambulances were summoned: Three ambulances were called to the scene for the suspects, and one ambulance for one of the officers.

Multiple injuries are reported from the scene, including the two officers.
