Cops injured in Crenshaw family dispute

Two LAPD officers were injured in an altercation in the Crenshaw District Tuesday evening.Officers from the LAPD's Southwest Division were called to 5411 Carlin St. to investigate a suspect with a baseball bat involved in a family dispute.

Officers attempted to enter a yard the suspect had entered, but couldn't get past a fence that was blocked by family members of the suspect.

A fight between family members and the two officers ensued, and police backup was requested, including presence of a supervisor.

Multiple family members were reportedly fighting with officers at the scene, including the original suspect. Multiple units were called to the scene.

A total of five people have reportedly been injured, including two police officers. Four ambulances were summoned: Three ambulances were called to the scene for the suspects, and one ambulance for one of the officers.

Multiple injuries are reported from the scene, including the two officers.
