LOS ANGELES American Airlines spokesman Billy Sanez says the engine on
Flight 1236 died just minutes after takeoff at 3:21 p.m. Sunday.
The 757, carrying 149 passengers and a crew of six, was diverted to
Los Angeles International Airport, where it landed safely about 10
minutes later.
Nobody on board was injured.
The incident is under investigation.
