Molecular decoy a new cancer weapon?

Researchers have created a molecular "decoy" that acts like /*DNA*/ damage.

Scientists say the decoy prompts cancer cells into believing they are far more damaged than they really are, so the cancer cells kill themselves.

In lab mice, scientists wiped out 75 to 100 percent of cancer cells.

Clinical trials could begin next year.

The research is in the /*American Journal*/, Clinical Cancer Research.
