Study into affect of blood sugar levels

The study looked at nearly 3,000 people 55 and older in Canada and the U.S. They were surveyed on several aspects of memory function.

Researchers found that a 1 percent increase in blood glucose levels led to lower test scores related to brain function.

Previous studies have shown that people with diabetes are one and half times more likely than those without diabetes to experience memory decline and develop dementia.
