Venice residents vote on 2 initiatives

VENICE One measure, if passed, would remove the neighborhood council's power to create so-called Overnight Parking Districts, which require people who park their vehicles on the street overnight to buy a permit.

The second initiative would give Venice neighborhoods the power to prohibit anyone but residents from parking on their block.

There is no word yet on the outcome of the vote.
