Prosecutors allege that last Thursday Maciel asked a 20-year-old woman to step into his office after she brought her car in for inspection. He allegedly locked the door and sexually assaulted her. Prosecutors say the rape happened while the woman's two children, an adult friend and the friend's child waited in the vehicle.
Authorities think there may be more victims.
Maciel has a prior strike on his record. He faces up to 16 years in prison if convicted.
