Climbers rescued after night on Jacinto

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. The climbers were spotted this morning at the 8,700-foot level near /*Snow Creek*/.

Two rescue team members stayed with the climbers until a chopper could be flown in to lift all four to safety.

The climbers haven't been identified and their condition is unknown. They were reported missing last night after attempting to climb one of the tallest steep slopes in California.

The steep terrain and weather conditions made the rescue operation more difficult.
