OC teens shot in unrelated incidents

SANTA ANA, Calif. The 15-year-old was shot on the 500 block of South Halladay Street but managed to ride his bicycle to another location where police and paramedics responded. Authorities say he is expected to survive. The shooting is believed to be gang-related.

About four hours earlier, a 14-year-old on his bike was confronted by as many as four youths at Willits and Shelley streets and shot once in the shoulder.

He managed to ride the bike nine blocks to South Poplar Street, where authorities found him.

Investigators say the 14-year-old was not connected to a gang but it's not known if his assailants were.
