Child's intelligence linked to dad's age

Researchers examined data collected on 33,000 children fathered by men between the ages of 15 and 65.

Experts found that the children of men under 40 performed better in general intelligence tests.

The results contrast earlier studies, which show older moms produced children with above average intelligence.

The children were only examined until age 7.

This study is being published in Public Library of Science Medicine.
