They handed out limited edition Gund teddy bears.
The bears were just some of the 7,500 bears given out to children in hospitals across the country and to individual contributors. Each Gund bear was donated for a contribution of $50, or 7,500 "Mileage Plus Mile," to the society. United and the American Cancer Society announced that they raised 52 million miles and $110,000 for cancer research.
