CSUN students protest budget cuts

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. They are calling on campus administrators to take a stand against any further budget cuts. Organizers say the /*California State University*/ system has been cut by hundreds of millions of dollars in recent years, and another $50 million could be trimmed, depending on federal recovery funding.

/*CSU Northridge*/ student Alejandro Hernandez had this comment for ABC7: "The fees have been increasing, classes have been cut. so what's going to happen? How important is education if they're not willing to put money into it?"

Student organizations taking part in the march included MECHA, The Black Student Union, The Women's Studies Club and Students For Quality Education.
