Porsche driver charged in Ferrari crash

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. Costa Mesa resident Jeffrey David Kirby, 51, is charged with one count of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and one count of driving under the influence causing bodily injury.

Kirby was allegedly driving a Porsche that collided with a 2004 Ferrari Modena. Both cars were allegedly driving at a high rate of speed, and the driver of the Ferrari was killed.

A police officer who witnessed the accident said the Porsche driver fled the scene, and officers were able to find the car a few blocks away, arresting Kirby as he was walking away from the car.

The Ferrari driver was identified as mixed martial arts figure Charles "Mask" Lewis.
