VENTURA, Calif. --The San Buenaventura Friends of the Library is rushing to raise funds to save the H.P. Wright Library from closing.By mid-March, the volunteer nonprofit group had raised $38,000 of the $280,000 needed by April to keep the 42-year-old library from closing at the end of June.
Officials may close the Ventura County library because of a $650,000 budget shortfall.
A final decision is expected in April.
