WALNUT, Calif. --The city of Walnut is trying to block the proposed construction of an NFL stadium in the city of Industry. Walnut has filed a lawsuit to stop the construction. The suit accuses Industry's city council of unanimously approving the $800-million venue without a sufficient review of its environmental impact. The Industry City Council approved the plan last month as a way to lure an NFL team back to the L.A. area.
Walnut fears the stadium could lead to traffic clogged streets and rowdy fan behavior.
