MALIBU, Calif. --The L.A. County coroner hopes to identify some skeletal remains Monday or Tuesday.Hikers discovered the remains in a car that had tumbled into a chasm in the mountains above Malibu.
The car was found about 800 feet above a heavily-traveled section of Kanan-Dume Road, between Malibu and Agoura Hills.
The car was covered by brush, and park rangers say routine helicopter patrols would not have seen it.
