Gunmen hold up Cypress liquor store

CYPRESS, Calif. Police responded to the J&B Liquor on Lincoln Avenue at about 9:15 p.m.

Surveillance video caught the suspects as they confronted the store clerk with a handgun. One suspect jumped over the counter and ordered him to open the cash register.

The clerk was forced to lay face down on the ground. While one suspect kept the gun pointed at the clerk, the other emptied the register and demanded that the clerk hand over the money in his pockets.

There were no customers inside the store at the time of the robbery.

The suspects fled with undisclosed amount of money in a 2000 to 2003 silver Chevy Monte Carlo.

One suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with an Element logo, a skateboard clothing company, according to Sgt. Tom Bruce from the Cypress Police Department. He was also wearing gloves and a white T-shirt underneath the sweatshirt.

Both suspects are believed to be in their 20s.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Cypress Police Department at (714) 229-6631.
