Study: Diabetics skimping on health care

The Associated Press finds that diabetics are increasingly cutting back on doctor visits, insulin and other medication after losing jobs and health insurance.

Records show sales of top selling drugs and testing products for diabetics have dropped since the economic crisis worsened last fall.

Doctors warn diabetics that cutting back on care now, can cost more in the long run. Skimping on or skipping needed medications can lead to dire complications, and even death.
