Friends and family gathered for a candlelight vigil Wednesday night at Cal-State Fullerton where the 20-year-old Stewart was a student and Titans' cheerleader.
Members of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, to which Stewart belonged, staged a formal program dubbed "A Celebration of the Life of Courtney Stewart."
Stewart's funeral was held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 600 N. Garvey Avenue in Pomona.
