TRABUCO CANYON, Calif. --If you see fire or smoke in eastern Orange County on Wednesday, it's part of a controlled burn.The Cleveland National Forest fire dispatch the fire was a controlled burn in the Trabuco Canyon area.
The controlled burn is part of an effort to get rid of heavy brush that could fuel a wildfire.
Officials said the cooler weather and the lack of high winds makes Wednesday an ideal day for setting the controlled fire.
