2 arrested for conning O.C. seniors

LAS VEGAS Forty-three-year-old Rick Shawn and 42-year-old Judy Stevens, both of Las Vegas, were booked on charges including robbery, kidnapping, elderly exploitation and multiple counts of obtaining money under false pretenses.

In one incident, Cypress Police released surveillance photos of Shawn taking a man who was suffering from Alzheimer's to a bank and allegedly scamming him out of money.

"An elderly man was out walking his dog. He was approached by this suspect who eventually convinced the gentleman to take him to the bank. And over the visit of two banks, he withdrew over $19,000 and handed this money over to the suspect," said Cypress Police Sergeant Tom Bruce.

During the alleged crimes, police say Shawn and Stevens used multiple names, dates of birth, and social security numbers.

Las Vegas Police are looking for more victims or anyone who may have come into contact with the suspects. If you have any information please call (702) 828-3285 or (702) 385-5555.
