New research suggests hyper-active children may not have attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.Finnish researchers studied about 300 8-year-old children, and found that those who slept fewer than 7.5 hours had more symptoms of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
than kids who slept longer.
Short sleepers were more likely to be impulsive and hyperactive.
Researchers want to determine if short sleep causes the ADHD symptoms, and if more sleep would correct the problem. MORE L.A. BREAKING NEWS, WEATHER, TRAFFIC, SPORTS
