LOS ANGELES --A man is recovering in the hospital on Monday after being shot by a Los Angeles police officer in his Highland Park home.LAPD northeast division officers responded to a call of unknown trouble at the home along Avenue 66, near Ruby Street at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said officers entered the home and encountered the man with a large knife.
One officer fired a number of shots, wounding the man. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
His identity has not been released.
