Reward for dismembered body information

LOS ANGELES On February 5, 2006, officers responded to a call at 8622 Langdon Avenue that a shopping cart contained a man's body. His feet, hands and head had been removed. The body was clothed in a black windbreaker with fleece lining, a white T-shirt and black jeans with a 34" waist and 30" length.

The victim has been named John Doe 28.

LAPD detectives have checked missing persons databases, but have not been able to identify the victim.

Detectives say once the person is identified, it is possible they can discover who killed him.

The coroner's office described the victim as being white or Latino, about 5' 6", with a medium build. He is believed to be between 23 and 35 years old.
