20-acre brush fire reported in Yucaipa

YUCAIPA, Calif. At approximately 6 p.m., the fire had consumed 75 acres, but fire crews reportedly had the fire under control and were in the "mop-up" phase.

The fire had burned approximately 20 acres, and was said to be spreading rapidly. The fire is located near Oak Glen Rd. and Bryant Rd., according to the /*California Department of Forestry*/. In the 5 p.m. hour, the Dept. announced the fire is "under control."

No structures are reported threatened, and no evacuations have been announced. The fire appeared to be burning away from neighborhood homes. Heavy winds were not a factor Thursday afternoon.

Several fire crews, engines and air support are en route to fight the blaze.

The fire began at about 4 p.m. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The fire has been dubbed the "Park Fire" by the California Dept. of Forestry.
