Images released to catch jewelry thieves

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. The suspects are wanted in several incidents at Beverly Hills jewelry stores.

In one incident, a suspect distracted an employee at a jewelry store in the city, removed an $18,000 ring from the display case, and walked out of the building on March 31.

A second suspect committed a similar crime at another jewelry store on May 1, removing thousands of dollars worth of rings and jewelry, and then taking off.

The second suspect was caught on surveillance cameras again on May 7, once again distracting the sales person and walking off with jewelry.

Investigators estimate his two crimes amount to more than $100,000 in stolen jewelry.

Police said the suspects seem to target only high-end jewelry stores, and may not be working together.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Beverly Hills Police Department, at (310) 288-2656.
