He's accused of killing 55-year-old Alan Bohnhoff, who owned the Bohnhoff Lumber Company. He's also accused in the killing of his co-worker, 31-year-old Jaime Sanchez of Bell Gardens.
Prosecutors allege he also tried to kill Bohnhoff's son, but his gun jammed. The evading an officer charge stems from a brief pursuit that ended with Moreno's arrest in Huntington Park.
Moreno's arraignment was postponed until June 11. He's being held without bail.
Prosecutors plan to decide later whether they will seek the death penalty against him.
