Hikers just dial the number posted along the trail, and nine stops give users opportunities to learn about the natural and cultural history of the area, including landscape and wildlife.
"I think it's fantastic," said hiker Mike Sperling. "We've always wanted to learn more about this area."
The audio tour is free, and the only cost is cell phone minutes.
